Our profession is faced with profound economic and political changes. If we fail to adapt, we risk a continuing decline in enrollments, diminished opportunities for our graduates, and a decreased share of university resources. If, on the other hand, we communicate the importance of our discipline more effectively, we become more responsive to the educational needs of our students, and we broaden our curriculum, we will meet the future prepared.
